Women Change The World With Their Confidence [IWD2021]

Have you ever noticed that when you've decided to own your value and your voice, you see others around you start to do it too?
Cool, right? Let me share why that happens.
As one person offers an example to another about what it looks like to claim their uniqueness, set their boundaries, stand up for supportive relationships, step into their gifts and share their Meaningful Outcome, it gives permission for others to do the same - directly or indirectly.
You may never know whom you’ve influenced to be more courageous with who they are, or whom you’ve challenged to use their voice in a way they never could have dreamed.
I think the best kind of empowerment for women in general, and BIPOC women, in particular, is for YOU (yes, you who's seeing this) to grow into yourself - no matter who you are.
When you renew and energize that definition of yourself, we (all women) get seen through a clearer eye of equality. Just as I say "confidence is quiet" sometimes, acting in the background, changing heart-to-heart; well, "empowerment is quiet" too. Some of the best transformations into new personal power are quiet too, acting in the background, changing old beliefs to boldness.
So today on International Women’s Day where this year I call on you to #ChooseToChallenge, decide to yourself how YOU will grow into yourself - and then how you will use it to be an example to others. That empowerment is contagious and soon, we’ll all look around and see total equality.
That’s going to be a pretty amazing time when it finally comes true.

WOMEN CHANGE THE WORLD WITH THEIR CONFIDENCE
When women have the sureness of self, we can do anything.
We say “yes” when they want to.
We say “no” when they need to.
We give when we can’t.
We give more when we can.
We stand up when we are compelled.
We sit down when we are ready.
Our words speak.
Our works speak louder.
We share ourselves.
But oh, what we share is for each other -
When women have the sureness of self,
that’s confidence,
we change the world.
