A New Season Of Success
If you've been around me long enough, you know I love to speak about "seasons." They are the perfect metaphor for how life shifts and changes for each of us, causing us to need to find new meaning and purpose for our next steps.
I'm in my own new season. Many of you followed along as I put my bid in and ran for a seat on my community's City Council.
It was a full-on lesson for me about everything I have ever taught regarding "putting yourself out there in new ways." It was a full personal growth discovery - again - of what I've talked about and taught for almost 30 years in the way of preparing your confidence for what's coming, preparing your authenticity for a personal brand debut and showing up with absolute power as yourself.
I relearned it all, and recently, I shared in a new workshop how cultivating this kind of strategic confidence sets you up for the courage you'll need to summon to lock in your self-assuredness to take on anything new.
Well, if you're wondering, I was successful.
I got elected, and though I've watched it happen for so many of my clients, I experienced what happens when you fortify your confidence and act with direct and unwavering self-assuredness to your aim: you feel joy instead of fear, pride instead of self-doubt, and all that goodness comes back to you in the new role you win.
I am experiencing this shift right now as I settle into this new community service work.
At the same time, I am finding joy in returning to my client work and welcoming new women into my universe who know their next season of success awaits. That is the same feeling I want for you!
CHECK-IN WITH YOURSELF:
Clients & Community, today is a great day to check in with your next steps. I know it's not yet the new year, but in my world, we don't have new year resolutions, and all of December is a long love letter to a new year's intention-setting exercise.
So again, today, explore if you have prepared your courage and confidence for what is coming. Are you maximized, optimized and energized for your next season?
My bottom line is this: Either way you feel is a clue to how you can grow next, and trust me, the woman you see in the mirror getting dressed right now needs to believe in herself for that next season to produce the joy and success you hope for.
Who do you see in that mirror, and is everything you put on a full, final, sure, stunning representation of your future?
I'll leave that thought with you to ponder. Comment below if you'd like to share your thoughts!
