How To Navigate A Messy Confidence Realignment
This week, I met the women of my advanced mentorship Coalition for our monthly SuccessStyling call, and I am always amazed at how in sync and in tune they are with each other on their confidence journeys.
It happened again this month.
These women have vastly different backgrounds and work in diverse fields as business owners, organization leaders and entrepreneurs in law, insurance, financial services, software, agriculture and creative arts, yet they had one thing in common at this call.
They were ALL experiencing a time in their life that I called a "messy realignment."
What does messy look like?
There are clues everywhere:
For one, the clue was in a relationship that no longer served them; for another, it was in being frustrated in their closet and unable to find the right expression that came so easily last season in using their Hue and Style skills. For another, it was navigating a watershed moment at work with upper management and for others, it was seeing a change in their relationships with their kids and loved onesāand those were just a few.
I pointed out that these scenarios were all creating a mismatched feeling in their confidence because something had changed inside them, and this was a signal of a realignment in full swing.
Realignment always feels messy, like the pieces donāt fit or like you're sliding your hand against the grain of a piece of wood, and ouch, that's a sliver! Feel me?
This is all natural.
I gave them four things: a messy realignment needs an order for everything to click back into place - even if it's a new place. Here they are, plus a way you can check-in with yourself:
